If Pinoys are admittedly hopeless romantics, could Philippines be dubbed as the land of romance?
Why not? We’ve got hundreds of wonderful islands—each with its own charm and a unique appeal for the romantic Pinoy who wants to bask in paradise (and in love). So before this gets too cheesy, here are some recommended couple-friendly spots that will surely help keep that spark alive.
Tagaytay
Who says you need to travel far and wide for that much-needed bonding with your spouse? A few hours away from the metro, Tagaytay houses several boutique hotels that guarantee privacy.
Ching Custodio-Bitoon and her husband headed to Tagaytay for their post-wedding getaway and for them, it did not disappoint. They picked The Boutique, a dreamy hotel that gives ultimate privacy. Apart from the fantastic rooms, Ching says it also offers royal treatment with its spa services and breakfast in bed. She adds though that these photos will speak for themselves.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar
Travel back in time, take lots of photos, and be in awe—all in this 400-hectare tourism site in Bagac, Bataan. There’s so much to do: choose your era with 47 heritage houses (each with a unique story) and embrace history, or reminisce with your honey and explore the site hand-in-hand.
Isa Avendano, a radio reporter, recently went here with her beau and had a blast. She shares it was worth the tour at P7500, accommodation, meals and tours included.
Bellaroca
For those who want ultimate luxury, gorgeous Bellaroca in Marinduque is the way to go, says (almost) newlywed Rachelle Red-Reyes.
She says it’s a nice place to relax: hotel rooms are beautiful, and their big beds are totally couple-friendly. Lush backdrops are perfect for photo-ops and Rachel says the hotel arranges romantic candlelight dinners too! The travel may not be easy though: one has to take a 30-minute plane ride (with limited flights) to Marinduque, go on a 40-minute travel on the road then ride a yacht. But apparently, the journey (and the price!) is worth it.

Bohol bee farm
Bohol is more than just about tarsiers, Chocolate Hills and Panglao beach; it is also home to the all-fresh, environment-friendly Bohol Bee Farm. They offer unforgettable healthy food (the pesto spread is a must-try!) in their organic-themed restaurant that sits in a paradise in Dauis town.

Scenic views spell r-o-m-a-n-c-e and its honey-inspired ambiance is perfect for those on "pulo't-gata"! since it’s away from the main Panglao beach, privacy is guaranteed.
