National Heroes Day August 25, 2014: Declared as Regular Holiday

Philippines will celebrate National Heroes Day on August 25, 2014. The last Monday of August commemorates the Cry of Pugad Lawin, the beginning of Philippine revolution by the Katipunan in 1896 (118th year). It is declared as regular holiday by the government.

Filipinos are called to become one of our great heroes like Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Emilio Aguinaldo, Apolinario Mabini, Marcelo H. del Pilar, Sultan Dipatuan Kudarat, Juan Luna, Melchora Aquino, and Gabriela Silang. They've done great things and help Philippines to gain "Independence".
