amuelPH, which just entered PAR this morning, is predicted to cross Central Visayas, says PAGASA-Visayas weather specialist Joey Figuracion. It is expected to gain strength and may be elevated to second category – tropical storm, prompting local authorities to convene for a pre-disaster assessment. Heavy rains and strong winds are anticipated that may put people at risk of natural hazards such as landslide and flooding. Critical hours for Central Visayas, Figuracion says, are November 20 (Tuesday) late afternoon to Novemver 21 (Wednesday) early morning.
