China is facing another tough battle as it is battling new contagious disease "Metapneumovirus or HMPV".

According to reports, China has been battling an outbreak of Human Metapneumovirus or HMPV. As per the information available so far, #HMPV causes symptoms similar to influenza as well as #COVID19.
Vaccine development for HMPV has been challenging due to the complexity of the virus and limited research prioritization, as infections are often mild and overlap with other respiratory illnesses.
Despite this, scientists are actively working on creating a vaccine, leveraging advancements in RNA and protein-based technologies. In the meantime, prevention relies on good hygiene practices, such as regular handwashing, wearing masks in crowded places, and avoiding close contact with people showing symptoms of respiratory illness.
Strengthening immunity through vaccines for other respiratory infections, like flu and COVID-19, can also help reduce the risk of complications from HMPV.
